An update on Church Services:

The Administrative Board met Sunday 5/17/2020 to discuss our Church Services moving forward. We understand that the governor has relaxed the stay at home ban and has distributed a document for places of worship and we met to discuss what that would mean to us.

The document released by the governor is very restrictive. There must be 7 feet of separation between folks and there can be no singing or touching (even if the services are held outdoors). This means that we could have 2 people per every other pew, so about 10 people per service. This means we would have to have 6 services on a Sunday and work out a strict scheduling system. The church would have to be deep cleaned between every service and then let dry for 2 hours. This would mean at least a 18 hour Sunday. The bathrooms would have to be cleaned after each use as well. These are just a few of the guidelines we would have to follow.

Seeing as how we have many high risk congregants, and do not have the means to adhere to the government directive for our gatherings, we decided that it would be best to continue on with our virtual services for now. We will meet again and revisit this sometime in the middle of June.

So we will continue with the virtual services and we will be mailing the written sermon, prayer requests, etc to folks without internet access as well as setting up a conference call line during the actual services.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this season. Please pray for our church and church leaders during this time.
